Does anyone know an easy way to open up mp3 files in flash? I would like to use the loadsound command because the files are quite large. Better yet, is there a way to call them up and play them in an external player such as Winamp etc?
Thanks,

This might not be quite what your looking for, but you could try using:
Code: | on (release) {
getURL("mytune.mp3");
}
|
if you attach that to a button it should play the mp3 in much the same way as it would if you linked to an mp3 from a normal HTML page (I guess it depends on the platform as to exactly how it would work, but it works on my Mac).
There are undoubtedly more elegant ways to do it within Flash, maybe you could check out http://www.flashkit.com for a tutorial... |
