I did some searching on here and im not sure but i have to use cpanel or perl or somthing like that to change mt ftp password? my ftp access was hacked and i need to change the password can anyone help!? |

If you're hosted my Freedom2Surf there is no cPanel. You have to go into the member's area to change your password. |

u cant change the ftp password only the members sign in .... |

Ah well in that case you'll have to email support (if you're sure there's no way via the members area). |

You're sure changing the members area password doesn't change the FTP password, aren't you? |

Update Members Area Password Help
To update your password please enter your current password followed by the new password you would like. The security of your account depends on this password so please choose a password you can remember but one which is difficult to guess. This is the same password used for uploading to your website. |

yeh it worked thnx guys but i changed it then i could still use my ftp password the old one i guess it took awhile to update |

Still is 9.30am the next day before FTP password changes happen, though the word is this is supposed to be changing in the future, the password for the members area is the same as the FTP password, but this updates instantly.
Prob a cron thats only set to run once a day that causes it. |
